On Saturday morning September 8th the mountains were shrouded with heavy clouds, not a good day to hike to Tecolote Peak with it’s 360 degree views. The morning was gloriously cool ushering in the first taste of autumn. The First U group of 7 decided to go to Rio Grande Nature Center instead. We walked in the Native Gardens with helpful signage at the plants. Then we walked on the Aldo Leopold Trail w/ river views, signs about Aldo and time to socialize.
