Six hikers (Pam Bliss, leader, Tom Dorr, Scott Lake, Carol Moss, Nancy O’Donohue, Carl) joined together on a humid but not too warm of a morning. The hike was changed not once but twice to accommodate trail and weather conditions. Because large sections of the forest along the Oso Corredor trail have been bulldozed as a fire-prevention measure, and because a thick cloud bank was sitting on the crest, we ended up hiking a loop of the Armijo-Faulty-Cienega trails on the lower east side of the Sandias. On view were late summer flowers, assorted mushrooms, and a medallion tree marked for the Santa Fe Trail. Thanks to the hikers for being so flexible and going with the flow.
